Chef Hoss Zaré brings a new version of his eponymous San Francisco rest-aurant to Napa. Zaré, the chef, blends the exotic with the familiar though a combination of French technique and ingredients that span the Mediterranean. At Zaré, the restaurant, roasted garlic, pine nuts, and basil accompany the grilled pork chop, while pearl onions and pancetta complement the braised short ribs.
